Our approach is centred on understanding each individual’s unique needs, goals and circumstances. We believe that meaningful participation in everyday activities is an important part of health and wellbeing, and we work collaboratively with clients, families, caregivers and other healthcare professionals to provide evidence-informed and individualised occupational therapy services.

Rachel is an Occupational Therapist and the founder of Rachel Cole Occupational Therapy. She completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Pretoria with distinction and has been practising for over three years across acute hospital, step-down, outpatient and medico-legal settings.

Inspired by the experience of a close friend, Rachel was drawn to occupational therapy because of its unique ability to help people reconnect with the activities that bring meaning and purpose to their lives. She finds great fulfilment in working alongside children and adults as they develop new skills, adapt to change and regain independence in their everyday lives.

Rachel has a particular interest in early childhood development and intervention, adult neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation, hand therapy, functional capacity evaluations and medico-legal assessments. She has completed additional training in hand therapy and is certified in Functional Capacity Evaluations through ErgoScience.

Her approach is centred on providing ethical, evidence-informed and individualised care, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with clients, families and other healthcare professionals.

Outside of the practice, Rachel is a wife and mother who enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring with her family and building meaningful connections with the people around her.
